Excerpt from Wings Album by our Mother Foundress
“You will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.” (Jn 8:32)
It is costly to speak truth. It’s costly to be true to oneself. It’s costly to be true to what Jesus is telling us. It’s costly in our society, because it brings light into darkness. And right now, with so much darkness, truth stands out, doesn’t it? You can spot a true Christian from a mile away. I wish there were more. We need Truth. America needs a new outpouring of Truth. There is so much deception. There is so much darkness. The enemy is everywhere. We need the Spirit of Truth (Jn 15:26; Jn 16:13). But we have to go to the Cross for these kinds of graces. This is what we call the Office of Intercession. This is the burden bearing. But this is where the power is. It takes love power. There is no power like love. Nothing is comparable to the power of love. Jesus said, “I have power to lay down my life…Greater love than this no one has” (Jn 10:18; Jn 15:13). That is power. That is the power of love.
We can all do many things. All of us can be busy, all of us can be in ministries and we can do a lot of running. But to lay down our life, to sacrifice, is costly. Yet, this is the thing to which we are called. We are being called to sacrifice with the Lamb. We are being called to become Eucharist. Look at the cost of becoming Eucharist. We can be walking around dying inside and nobody knows it. Yet, Christ is alive and hidden within us and power is going out – Christ’s Calvary power is going out through us. Power goes out more in hiddenness than any other way. The more hidden it is, the more powerful it is. Look at the power that came forth from Calvary and is still reverberating throughout the world today. It has changed everything, hasn’t it? It has changed us forever. We will never be the same because of the Power of the Love of one Person. And now He wants to do it again within us.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal Life.” (Jn 3:16)
