“As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in My love.” (Jn 15:9)

The driving love for us is the Father.  That is what drove Jesus.  Yes, He loved us, but His driving love was for the Father.  He knew it meant everything to His Father to have us come Home.  This is why He came – to bring us Home.  This is what the name “Bellwether” means – the lead Lamb – Who brings us Home.  If we cannot do this for our brothers and sisters, if we can’t do it for anybody out there, we can do it for the Father, can’t we?  We can do it because the love of Jesus Christ burns within us.  And He, within us, is continuing to love the Father.  He, within us, continues to go on the Cross.  He, within us, continues to say, “Father, not My will but Yours be done” (Mt 6:10)!

The Spirit Himself begins to pray within us.  That is the power of intercession.  The Spirit Himself knows how to pray as we ought” (Rom 8:26).  This is why we ask Him, “How do we pray about this?  How do we pray about this marriage?  How do we pray about this illness?”  Once you know, it changes our prayer totally.  It helps us endure the sacrifice, because we know it is just a matter of time.  The light will come for that person; the healing, the freedom, whatever grace was needed.  And when it does, the burden will lift instantly from me.

So we become distributors of God’s beautiful grace.  The graces for salvation have been won!  But now God needs us to distribute them to His people.  That is what we do as intercessors; we distribute these beautiful graces to everybody.

“May the eyes of (your) hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to His call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of His great might”  (Eph 1:18-19)
