Excerpt from Healing Power of Deliverance by M. Nadine

“Holy Father, keep them in Your Name that You have given Me, so that they may be one just as we are.” (Jn 17:11)

The dream of the Father is for all of us to become transformed. The Seventh Mansion of Teresa of Avila is to become totally transformed into Jesus. This is the great grace of Pentecost. When Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit into the Apostles in the Upper Room on Easter night, He gave them the power to forgive. Then He appeared to them quite a few times in healing, but the actual transformation came upon them at Pentecost. When they came out of that Upper Room, they weren’t the same anymore, were they? Peter, who was totally uneducated, was now preaching and teaching. He was being Jesus Christ, and what Power went through them! They had received the power to heal, the power to set people free, the power to bring people now into relationship with Jesus because they were witnessing to Jesus.

The joy! The joy in the persecution, the joy in the suffering, the joy when they were thrown out of the temple – that’s all the grace of the Holy Spirit. The Church had begun! The Body of Jesus Christ was alive! He was alive again in men and women. This is what the Christian life is all about – transformation into Jesus. When this happens, the part of God’s Armor that we really put on then is the Sword. The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God, the Second Person of the Trinity. Then the Word of God becomes so enfleshed within us that with Him we become the Sword of the Spirit. Now the Spirit can use us in this tremendous battle against evil.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us … persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before Him He endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken His seat at the right of the throne of God.” (Heb 12: 1-2)
