“Upon Him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by His stripes we were healed.” (Is 53:5)

There comes a point where we realize that it is so worthwhile to go on the Cross and plead, along with Our Lady, along with Jesus, for the mercy of God, for the cleansing, for the forgiveness, for all the graces that souls need so that they can be free from bondage – the bondage of sin, the bondage of pain, the bondage of all sorts of hell which they experience deep within themselves. We want them to be free and know the Father as we know the Father. We want all souls to soar, to receive these gifts, this new Life, this new Love, and particularly, this Peace.

This is our mission. And the price is high; it will cost us our lives. Almost every day, it will cost us our lives. But you’ll never know it, because the reward is so great. You’ll never really know how poverty stricken you are as you are getting these graces for others. You will really never know the pain very long, because the love we experience is so immense and intense! God pours it out on us because He is so seeking little victim lambs to enter into this redemptive mission with His Son. So if you get depressed, if you get angry, if you get headaches, if you get stiff necks, if you get confused, if you get all these things, pray for people who are going through the same thing. You will be getting those graces for somebody else.

You cannot go wrong with this beautiful gift of intercessory prayer. This is the call of the Suffering Servant which we read about in Isaiah 53. It is the mission of the Lamb led to the slaughter so that God’s people can be healed. Now it is our turn to share those stripes and those wounds so that our brothers and sisters can be healed all over the world.

“ … I have been crucified with Christ; yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me” (Gal 2:19-20)
