Excerpt from Prepare the Way of the Lord
Talk given by M. Nadine

“So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but shall do My will, achieving the end for which I sent it.” (Is 55:11)

Jesus said, “If anyone loves me, he will keep My word and My Father will love him and We will come to him” (Jn 14:23). This is a God who wants to come in a special way to each of us individually and, in a deeper way, through us and through our intercessory prayer for the whole Church. The Spirit and the Bride are always saying, “Come, Lord Jesus.” He replies, “I am coming. I am coming soon” (Rev. 22:20).

In Hebrews it says, “A body You have prepared for Me” (Heb 10:5). He is speaking of the Church, of His mystical body. He is speaking of us individually as well. How do we prepare a body for the Lord? In Isaiah we read, “A voice cries out: In the desert prepare the way of the Lord” (Is 40:3). In the desert, prepare the way.

Because the power and the wisdom of God comes from the Cross, we will encounter the Cross, the very heart of Christianity. Wisdom comes out of desert spirituality. Our former Holy Father John Paul II said, “To listen to the Word of God is the most important thing in our lives.” Can you imagine that? He was saying that to the whole Church. To listen to the Word of God is the most important thing in our whole lives. We want to spend some time in responding to that, in listening to the Word of God. We know that to surrender to God’s Word is the highest form of wisdom. As we surrender to that wisdom, we come into union with Wisdom Himself. We come into the full power of God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus, made flesh within us. Jesus is Wisdom Incarnate.

We are devoted to Our Lady and the Holy Spirit. Together, they bring forth Jesus. She could not have done it without Him. He could not have done it without her. Lady Wisdom Herself and the Holy Spirit together will teach us to prepare the way of the Lord.

“Come, Lord Jesus!” (Rev 22:20)
