Excerpt from New Covenant Power Album by our Mother Foundress

“Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Heavenly Father.” (Mt 5:16)

We are in a spiritual battle because we are still surrounded by the darkness from the fall. We have inherited it. Each of us has darkness within, and we must attend to our “fall” housecleaning. The battle begins here, and it is a battle between the kingdoms of light and of darkness, between good and evil, between God and satan. God tells us to let our light so shine before men as the stars shine before Him in Heaven (cf. Mt 5:16). God wants His light to shine through each one of us so that others will see it even in the darkness. The darker it gets, the brighter our light will shine. Even a tiny flashlight will shine ever so brightly when it is really dark outside. Imagine the tremendous light that would beam out into the world if each of us little ones have the Light of the World within us! Together, we could light up the world, right from where we live!

Imagine God looking down on us, thinking, “Goodness! I thought My Heavens were up here. Look at all the stars down there!” It would be a new Heaven and a new earth. He said, “I formed you and I sent you as a covenant to the people, a light for the nations” (cf. Is 42:6). He forms us through the prayer that He taught us, the Our Father. You might call it His formation program by which He forms us into contemplatives, bringing us together as one people, one Light for the whole world.

Remember the Book of Genesis, where He said, “Let Us (the Trinity) make man in Our image, in Our likeness” (cf. Gen 1:26). It is what He always intended. In fact, that is what He did in the very beginning. Adam and Eve were filled with light. They were so filled with light they did not know they were naked. They were naked but without shame because there was no darkness in them (cf. Gen 2:25). That was the first Covenant. We are now in the seventh Covenant. We come into our new birth now, in Jesus, because God has chosen us in Him.

“He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before Him.” (Eph 1:4)
